Last year, three winners were selected: Kreadid, Short and Vinsse who all gained €5,000.

This year, however, we will only elect one winner who is given the honour of the total €15,000 bonus.

The deal
We will solely select one winner who will be rewarded the €15,000 bonus. The winning design will be printed on 2000 laFraise-Shirts (1000 Classic shirts and 1000 Mademoiselle shirts). With the conclusion of the contract between laFraise and the designer, laFraise also buys the complete copyright – it will not be temporary as usual. Furthermore, laFraise reserves the right to reprint the winning design.

When?
The submission time will start on 14th July 2009.
The submission time will end on 10th August at 15:30pm.
All submissions uploaded after this time will be rejected automatically.

We will release a special gallery of the 12 best designs on 17th August for a final voting round of 7 days.

Accordingly, the winner will be announced in the first week of September.

Remarks for the submissions
• All submissions must be uploaded in the new format 1000 x 1000 pixels. Other formats will not work.
• Submissions need to be presented on one plain background. Designs with  a preview on shirts or different colour versions are not accepted.
• Please submit only 1 version of your design, the second version will only be required from the winner.

Technical advices
The technical conditions (ZIP Files blog.lafraise.com/en/wp-conten… ) are the same as for our ordinary contests.

Time for another great contest here on laFrause EU. This time it’s with the wonderful CrazyLabel wookieweb.com/crazylabel/ Need an introduction? here goes:

About Crazy Label and Andy Woo
Founder and executive producer of Hong Kong independent creative living brand Crazy Label. He is convinced that toys should not be confined to the realm of children, but can also be works that encapsulate art, lifestyle and creativity. The resulting products should be fun to play with, functional, and visually pleasing. Crazy Label is intended to be a platform where designers can express their craziest ideas.

Enlightened?

Now down to the details.

-contest runs May 18th-June 1st

-all submissions go to the CrazyLabel category on laFrause EU

-1 winner will be selected for a prize point of 2000 Euros and a prize pack from Crazylabel. (more winners may be selected depending on number of submissions)

All submissions go to www.lafraise.com
Well the VKMP3 contest is coming to a close, so that means it’s time for a new contest.

This time it’s with the legendary CultureClub. Never been there? Here is a brief story:

It was clear from day one, that Culture Club was not going to be just another club. Its’ three founding fathers had one thing in common: doing things differently. Need we mention the Eskimo Parties, Ten Days of Techno, Club 69, Belmondo,…

After many (crazy) years, quite a few legendary parties and extraordinary party locations, they decided to take the ultimate step: Culture Club. The Leitmotiv? “Nightlife is lifestyle is nightlife”.

Seven years later Culture Club has established itself as one of the most innovative clubs when it comes to fusing the best in music, fashion, design and lifestyle.

For its’ seventh season the karma chameleon Culture Club continues to explore new musical horizons and is more than ever equipped for a groundbreaking and very promising new era.

A new age dawns…
------------------------------------
Satisfied? Now down to the details.

-contest starts Monday April 20th and runs until Monday May 4th

-the theme will be “Do You Know Where Your Teenager Is At 5 O’Clock In The Morning?”, not the easiest theme, but I know you guys can nail it.

-all submissions will go to the “CultureClub” contest category on laFraise EU which will be up on Monday 20th

-1 winner will be selected to win 1500 Euros (depending on the quality more may be selected, it’s up to you guys!)

Confused? Need inspiration? Checkout a few of the campaign posters.

Good luck!

Well it’s about time another sponsored contest rolled around. This time it’s with BloodSweatVector www.bloodsweatvector.com which many of you are familiar with.

A brief little history of BSV is as follows: BloodSweatVector (BSV) was founded in October of 2008 by Jared Nickerson and Brad Mahaffey. BSV brings together some of the highest regarded vector artists in the world, posting their news, updates, releases, and recommendations to all of you readers. Authors (the artists) posting on this site have been specifically invited to be a part of BSV due to the respect they garner in the vector community. Each entry is from the artists themselves, providing the news directly to you via BSV.

Now to the details.

The theme will be “RE-ANIMATION”. Possible ideas include: revival of vintage cartoons, zombies, 1950s B-Movies etc.

Prize include 1500 Euros, a feature and interview on BSV along with an official invite to become a member.

Contest runs from Monday March 23rd-April 6th

Well it’s contest time again and this time we have something a little different for you.

This will be our first “Artist Sponsored” contest and who better to have it with than the infamous 123klan

123klan is made up of founders Scien & Klor. “Hitting streets with style and talent since 1989 for Scien and 1992 for Mrs Klor.”
Also known as “vector chefs”, Scien and Klor have cooked some outstanding meals for clients such as: Nike, Ecko, Zoo-York, Adidas, Carharrt, Sony PSP, Wired magazine, Stussy, Majestic Athletics and Johnny Cupcakes to name a few. Today, the French couple and proud parents now based in Montreal Canada, are still touring the world and hitting what or who ever’s fronting them, always with style and arrogance like Bonnie & Klyde.

——————————————

Now of course we’ll have 1 winner who will get 1500 Euros and a prize pack of 123klan goodies from 123klan themselves. Their design will also be printed on a limited run of 500 tees available exclusively through laFraise.

Well it’s time for another fresh new contest, this time it’s with the
wonderful culture/art/news website “Thunder Chunky“ www.thunderchunky.co.uk
Here is some more info. on Thunder Chunky before I continue:

Thunder Chunky has been around since 2003 and is a bit of a hybrid-mix of
interviews, articles and collaborative projects. Based in Liverpool UK,
but globally-focussed, our simple aim is to keep all you people out there
amused and interested for as long as we can before you find something
genuinely important to do with your day.

Over the years we’ve been lucky enough to speak to some of our heroes in
the design & illustration field such as TADO, Jeremyville, Jon Burgerman,
James Jean, Kyle Cooper, TBFH… and many more besides that! And being
able to bring some of those artists in to some of the projects we run,
such as the set of prints we did recently, is particularly great.

We try our best to give all those up-and-coming artists out there a
platform to showcase and strut their stuff and it’s always exciting when
something totally fresh and new lands on our doormat or in our inbox.

You really can never have enough illustration!
——————————

So now that you know who TC is, let me break down the contest for you:
-Submissions start Monday Jan 26th on the EU site

Well 2008 was a crazy year, thank you to everyone involved; sponsors, designers, customers and the community.

2009 will be even better, we promise.

To kick off 2009 we have a new sponsored contest we know you’ll like. This one is with Ryz www.ryzwear.com , we could say they are the “laFraise” of the sneaker world.

Here is a brief breakdown of Ryz direct from them:

We provide a level playing field where anyone has an opportunity to shine. Anyone can submit their own sneaker designs, share their creativity, and showcase their personal style. And anyone can be a rock star.

Our shoe designs are created by artists, DJs, poets, students, dreamers, doers and other not-so-ordinary individuals like you. But that doesn’t stop them from achieving design immortality.

Unlike the fashionista elite who dictate the latest style, RYZ gives the power to the people.

We’ll post the design entries online and let our community decide what’s hot and what’s not. The design that receives the most votes wins. Winning shoes are produced and sold to adoring fans from around the world. And along with bragging rights, the designer also gets a share of the profits. (Keep the day job for now.)

Yes, this is a popularity contest. And like all democracies, participation is important - so tell everybody you know to vote early and often.

————————-

The Details:

The contest starts Jan 5th and will run for 2 weeks. One (1) winner will be selected to win 1500 Euros, their design on a limited run of 500 tshirts and their design interpreted into a shoe design exclusively through Ryz.

Now we require you to submit your design to the special Ryz category on laFraise, but we also suggest you submit your shoe design to RyzWear , that way it permits you to easily advertise between the 2 platforms.

There is no required theme and no design stipulations.

Sounds fun huh?

So the breakdown:

-contest runs from Jan 5th-19th on laFraise EU

-1 winner will be selected (maybe more ;) to win 1500 Euros

-winning design will printed on 500 limited edition tees and on an exclusive line of sneakers through RyzWear

-no theme.

-open to anyone, anywhere.

Can’t wait to see what you chums come up with, good luck!!
