I just learned about them. Are they useful? I'm wondering if I should get one. And maybe why you didn't use it for this illustration? I am trying to paint a picture in my mind about tablet, I'm just getting into vector art.

some people use them for vector art, i dont really see the point. vector art is more structured and i guess mechanical, so the mouse seems to work for that. if u wanna use the pencil tool tho in illustrator with the tablet, that can work, but i still prefer the mouse. i think if u get one, get one with the mouse/pen combo - ur prob more likely to use it then cos they close to each other/easy to switch.

yeh but to me points, anchors and handles arent at all natural... more... robotic...

thanks for the tip, that was def one of my concerns, ease of switching, I was assuming that it could be difficult with some tablets. I can imagine doing something like using the pen on a tablet can become easier though (more natural), maybe I'm wrong.
